This policy explains what personal data ServiceBuddy collects through servicebuddy.com and the guest demos, why, and the choices you have. It doesn't cover data our customers process in their own workspaces; that is governed by our customer agreements.
What we collect
- Guest sign-up: your e-mail address and phone number, and optionally your name and company; when you agreed to these terms and, if you opt in, to the newsletter.
- Demo usage: the messages you send to the demos and the answers, the number of demo messages you use, and technical data such as your IP address, browser language and the page you signed up on.
- Forms and the ServiceBuddy assistant: what you send us when you book a demo, request a buddy or chat with our assistant, including the conversation transcript.
- Talk to a person: the conversation you hand over to our team.
Why we use it
- To give you access to the demos and verify your e-mail.
- To keep the demos fair and secure: daily allowances, preventing automated abuse, and keeping the cost of AI usage under control.
- To answer your questions and follow up about ServiceBuddy when you've contacted us or asked for a demo, including by phone or WhatsApp.
- To send our weekly newsletter, only if you opted in. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To improve our AI Agent Buddies and the website.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your guest details for third-party advertising.
Who helps us process it
We use a few service providers who process data on our behalf: DigitalOcean (hosting and the AI models that generate demo answers), Cloudflare (network security and delivery), Resend (sending e-mails) and Google (website analytics). They may process data in countries other than yours, under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep guest accounts while they're in use and delete inactive guest accounts and their demo history after 24 months, or sooner if you ask. Usage counts may be kept in anonymous form for statistics.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in each e-mail.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your guest account, by writing to [email protected].
- Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in as a guest, remember your language and protect forms against misuse. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type), with IP addresses anonymised. Visitors from the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics stays off unless they allow it. We don't use advertising cookies.
